Text message blows up suicide bomber by accident →

The goal was to detonate a bomb in Red Square on New Years Eve and kill hundreds of people. Fortunately the bomb was attached to a cell phone and the carrier sent a spam text message resulting in the bomb exploding killing terrorist, alone, at a safe house.
To quote Wired “…the SMS might be the only time that a wireless carrier’s SMS message has ever been useful”
